This project was undertaken during my time working at MLA in Edinburgh.

A large residential scheme located in the Dean Village and replacing an existing office block, this project’s key driver was to introduce a new build flats and townhouses into an area with a very distinct and well established character, as well as renovating an existing building and tying them all together.

The topography of the site, as well as it’s proximity to the historic Dean Bridge were a major challenge, however through the application of sandstone, brick and zinc cladding, we were able to produce a result which didn’t overload it’s surrounding context and provided some of the best views of Edinburgh I’ve had the privilege to see.
